Fulfil the vision (2)
'Write the vision and make it plain' Habakkuk 2:2
One more thing to look at when it comes to this whole vision thing, is the age-old question - 'What if I mess up?' You may be scared to even start the process of finding your vision, in case it all goes 'pear-shaped'. If that's you, just look at some of the guys in the Bible who messed up big-style when they were trying to follow God's plan for them.
They didn't get it right all of the time at all, but God didn't give up on them, and He won't give up on you.
Take Moses as an example - he had a history-changing message to deliver to Pharaoh, yet he was a poor speaker. He had marriage problems. He had a problem with his temper - it's not looking like things were all going swimmingly for him, is it? And yeah, as a result God said, 'This is the land I promised ... I have let you see it ... but you will not cross over into it.' (Deut. 34:4 NIV).
Sure, he messed up and had to face the consequences of it. But - and here's the really important part of the story that you need to grab hold of - Moses finally got there! Around 1400 years later, he stood with Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration: right in the middle of it (see Mark 9:2-4)! His dream was fulfilled, he'd made it to the promised land.
