Dead Or Alive?
'I have been crucified with Christ' Galatians 2:20
If you've seen the recent American TV series 'The Walking Dead' you might think the words of Paul here sound a bit zombiesque! And what about Romans 6 where it tells us being a Christian means we 'die with Christ'? Freaky or what? Is this proof that all Christians are really flesh-eating zombies, the living dead, corpses that continue to move around?
Let's make some comparisons with the help of Monstrous.com (MC) and The Holy Bible (THB)... 1) MC says zombies appear to be alive but lack free will and appear like mechanical robots. THB says Christians have a new found freedom because they belong to Jesus.
2) MC says zombies are incapable of speech and live only to consume living animal flesh. THB says Christians find real purpose and value to their life due to their relationship with Jesus. God even gives some a whole new language as well.
3) MC says zombies are decaying creatures. THB says Christians are spiritually reborn.
4) MC says zombies are strong. THB says Christians have God's power at work in them.
5) MC says zombies live less than one year. THB says Christians will live forever. Conclusion: Choose to be a Christian not a zombie; let your old self die off and be given a new, better life, thanks to Jesus.
