'God ... is able ... to accomplish infinitely more' Ephesians 3:20

You didn't ask to be born. Neither did anyone else. Being here wasn't your doing, and it's probably for the best that it wasn't! Imagine if everyone had control over what went into 'us'. We'd probably all turn out pretty similar, because our creativity is seriously limited compared to the Creator of the universe.

'God... is able... to accomplish infinitely more.' He only made one you, with all the true individuality and uniqueness that comes from an infinitely creative God. You are an incredible masterpiece - the one and only you that ever has been or ever will be. How amazing! 'Body and soul', you are 'marvellously made!' (Ps. 139:14).

Sometimes though, being different can make you feel misunderstood, like no one sees the real you. But know this: God made you, so He 'gets' you. In fact God knows you better than you know yourself; He knows your thoughts, your comings and goings, how many hairs are on your head, how many times you clipped your toenails last year... He knows everything about you.

More than that, He has put inside you bags of potential; He says in Jeremiah 29:11; 'I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out-plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.' Get to know your creator. Then you'll truly be able to celebrate being you, enjoy being different, and be excited about what's ahead.

Run wild. Eat up His words. Dream big dreams. God promises that 'through His mighty power at work within us, [we are able] to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.'

What now? Learn Ephesians 3:20 by heart. Write it out on a card which you can carry around (or do it together with a friend and swap cards - this works great for whole youth groups to do for each other) and look at regularly throughout the day. Each time, try and remember a little more of the verse.
