Vision (2)
'Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled.' HABAKKUK 2:3
When David volunteered to fight Goliath Saul tried to get him to go out to battle wearing his suit of armour. Dave put it on and it was too heavy and didn't fit him; he could hardly move, let alone fight. Don't try to be something you're not just to look the part; if you do you'll find that you're restricted and uncomfortable because you're not being you. God made you unique and gave you a part to play in His plan for the world.
Many people wear themselves out trying to fulfil a vision God didn't give them because they need to prove themselves to someone else. Other people have unresolved issues that they wrap up in the appearance of a vision from God but really they're just trying to win a parent's love, or to demonstrate they're as talented as their brother or sister. Don't make this mistake or you'll end up frustrated and feeling like you failed God didn't promise to give you what He gave others.
You're unique, so is God's plan for your life. If you're not 'graced' to do it, you'll wear yourself out. Maybe the grass is greener on the other side but it still needs cutting! If you're trying to do someone else's job you'll just feel pants. Every call has it's cost; but if you're doing what God told you then he'll help you handle it!
