I AM' Confident
'Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see' HEBREWS 11:1
Seven times in the Gospel of John Jesus describes himself as 'I AM...'. I AM: bread, light, gate, good shepherd, the resurrection and the life, the way, truth and life, and the true vine. He never said 'I might be', 'I could be' or 'I wanna be'. He said 'I AM'. He was definite, positive, confident, absolutely sure whom He was. Every time He said 'I AM' He told us an amazing truth about himself.
Chew over these:
1) '..."I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never be hungry again..."' (John 6:35 NIV)
2) '..."I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life"' (John 8:12 NIV)
3) '"I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved"' (John 10:9 NIV)
4) '"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."' (John 10:11 NIV)
5) '..."I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies"' (John 11:25 NIV)
6) '"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"' (John 14:6 NIV)
7) '"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener"' (John 15:1 NIV) Today be confident in the faith you have in Jesus. Be confident in I AM - I AM CONFIDENT!
Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? 2 Peter 3:11
