A love letter from Jesus (2)
'You...are a letter from Christ.' 2 CORINTHIANS 3:3
The Bible says your life is a love letter from Jesus, 'known and read by everybody.' But a letter is only effective, if it is easily read and understood.
Adults moan because they can't understand text language, 'what's "C U L8R M8" mean?' They don't get it; which isn't a problem when you txt your mate but might cause difficulties when you txt your mum! People must understand your message. How can you make sure your love letter from Jesus gets through to the people He's sending it to?
Here are things that some common things can confuse your message:
a) a begrudging, resentful attitude when a friend, teacher, or parent asks you to go the extra mile and help at an inconvenient time
b) not giving your best to the things you've committed to
c) being unreliable, not keeping promises
d) touchiness, like when you wear your feelings on your sleeve, are easily upset and overreact to unintended offences
e) temper tantrums or sulking, where you're moody and grumpy because things don't go your way
f) compromising, where you go with the flow and don't take a stand or have the guts to stand out. Instead of Jesus they see moody or unreliable or compromising Christians. How we live says something; we can give people the wrong message. Jesus has a letter of love. Make sure people can get it.
