Who does JESUS claim to be?

He claims to be the Son of man.
Mat 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

He claims to be the I AM.
Mat 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
Joh 18:6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.
"he" was written in italics.

He claims to be the Holy Ghost.
Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Joh 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
he dwelleth with them? Is that telling me He was walking in shoe leather with them? He will not leave them comfortless, He will come to them?

Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

What is the name of the Holy Ghost? According to the scripture above, it is JESUS.

He claims to be the Father.
Joh 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
Joh 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
Joh 8:25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
Joh 8:26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
Joh 8:27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.

They understood not that He spoke to them of the Father and they still don't understand that today.

Philip had that problem. He wanted to see the Father.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Joh 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Joh 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Joh 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Your looking at Him, Philip!

What is the name of the Holy Ghost? According to the scripture above, it is JESUS.

As I read it, Jesus is saying he was the 1st Comforter with 2nd Comforter being one that would give comfort when Jesus had departed. This doesn't make Jesus the Holy Ghost nor would it seem to give the Holy Ghost the name, Jesus.

Robert L:
Joh 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

So then if God is the Father of Jesus and Jesus is also the Father, then does that make Jesus his own Father? Since Jesus speaks of his Father and of our Father, does that make us also our own Father?

"I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God." John 20:17

Jesus is a PART of the trinity. But Jesus is NOT the entire trinity.

The "Jesus only" doctrine is a false doctrine.

As I read it, Jesus is saying he was the 1st Comforter with 2nd Comforter being one that would give comfort when Jesus had departed. This doesn't make Jesus the Holy Ghost nor would it seem to give the Holy Ghost the name, Jesus.
Sir, what is the name of the Father?

Joh_17:6 I have manifested THY NAME unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

What name did JESUS inherit from His Father? It looks to me it is the name JESUS.

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

What is the name of the Father? What is the name of the Son? What is the name of the Holy Ghost?

Peter having the Revelation of the name in Acts 2:38 Baptizes them in the name of JESUS Christ.

He didnt baptise them Father, Son, Holy Ghost.

Why didnt it say " Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the NAMES (plaurel) of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: ?

Because it is not plaurel...its singular "name"

So then if God is the Father of Jesus and Jesus is also the Father, then does that make Jesus his own Father? Since Jesus speaks of his Father and of our Father, does that make us also our own Father?

"I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God." John 20:17
Father is not another or different Spirit of God. It is only an office. Father is the administrative office of the Spirit of God.

Son of God is the Redemption office.

Holy Ghost is the Power office.
Act_1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

There is only One Spirit of God and his name one.

Zec_14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

One God and Father of all? Who is above all? And through all? And in you all?

In the new Testament in Hebrew is translated from KAI which means EVEN.

So if the Holy Ghost is in us all then how can the Father get in?
If you read below, you can see
Mar 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

So the Holy Ghost speaks through me here?

Mat 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
Mat 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

So the Father Speaks through me here?

Luk 21:14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
Luk 21:15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

So JESUS speaks through me here?

Contradictory here huh? Which one is it?

Or is Christ all and in all of those offices?

Col_3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Col_1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Christ in me the hope of glory? Christ is ALL of those offices and IN all of those offices of the ONE Spirit of God.

While Jesus is NOT the "trinity", but the trinity does dwell within him. Does God have a body? Yes he does. Who is his body?

Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Col 2:9 For in him (Christ) dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

God's body is his Word that became flesh. In Christ all the fullness of the Godhead dwells!!

Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.
Col 1:19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, (ESV)

Col 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; (KJV)

As Jesus only speaks what he hears the Father say, even so the Holy Spirit does not speak on his own, but what he hears. When the Father speaks, so does the Son, and so does the Holy Spirit.

I agree there, all the fulness of the Godhead dwelleth in Christ JESUS Bodily.

After JESUS had ascended back to the Father, because he came from God and then went back to God. NOT BESIDE God. He went back TO God.

Joh 16:10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

Mat_28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

After JESUS went back to the Father, He received ALL Power. Did that leave the Father powerless? No because he is the Father.

People ask this question. If JESUS is the Father, then why did He pray to himself while He came in a body of flesh to redeem all mankind back to Himself?

Simple answer. Look at

Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
Gal 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Gal 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Wait I thought the Father said to the Son in Heaven "Son...would you go down there and die for them?

Where in scripture does it ever say that?????

God sent forth His Son, MADE of a WOMAN.,Made under the Law. He made Himself of NO REPUTATION.

Php 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Php 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Was he an Adam Before the Fall or after the fall?

Was he an Adam Before the Fall or after the fall?
So He had to Pray to the Father because He was made of a woman just like you and me. Made under the law. That means He could not work a miracle until age 30 because that is when he took on the priest hood and they could not take on the priest hood until age 30 in the old testament according to the law. JESUS had to fulfill the law in every way.

God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying abba Son? No Abba Father. He is the Father.

Well I thought God has sent forth the Holy Ghost into our hearts?

He is the Holy Ghost.

After JESUS went back to the Father, He received ALL Power. Did that leave the Father powerless? No because he is the Father.

How could God the Father be left powerless if he himself dwells inside Jesus? Can God separate his body from himself? If the Father lives in the Son, and the Son lives in the Father, are they not inseparable.

If the Father lives in the Son, and the Son lives in the Father, are they not inseparable.

Yet in Matt 27:46; and Mark 15:34; we see that Father did forsake the Son.
The Father turned His eyes away from Jesus while He took on our sins.

Did Jesus ever claim to be God? Was not Jesus called the Son of God? If Jesus was God then would he not be God the Son?

Joh 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

The Jews got mad at Him for making Himself God.

Yet in Matt 27:46; and Mark 15:34; we see that Father did forsake the Son.
The Father turned His eyes away from Jesus while He took on our sins.

Are we talking about the "man" Jesus who had a human nature or Jesus's divine nature that was in him? Did not the Father dwell inside Jesus?

Mat_28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Just curious... what Bible version you have that says "all power'. My Bibles say "all authority". The Father still has power.
Also keep in mind, that Jesus gives this authority back to the Father. ( 1 Cor 15:24; )
