Any thoughts, ppl?

Some ppl think it can be effective in starting conversations with ppl on a faith related subject.

Take care.

PS:

For some ppl, the faith based aspect might indeed be the main motivation to going under the needle.

Dear Brother,

The biblical record would suggest that such painting and decoration of human flesh is pagan and contrary to biblical teaching throughout time.

Jezebal was a good painter........she painted her face..such proved not to be a mark of righteousness.......the dogs are her. 2 Kings 9: 30
2 Kings 9: 36. To mention one biblical instance.

The word tatoo is a modern word, not found in the bible.

I can assure you the bible pattern is following Jesus, and foillowing Him affords a life style that is attractive to all today, who appreciate righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Mr S:

Thanks for your comment.

Consider this: a lady had an unsuitable bf (no further detail required) and she has a tattoo of his name, eg, Bill. Afterwards she is converted. She wants to draw a line under her past and has the 'Bill' tattoo changed to 'Bible'.

Hard to criticize, under the circumstances.

But in general terms, the circumstances are not all that uncommon.

The Leviticus passage that says about cutting 'for the dead' also says about not trimming the corners of beards, but how many fundamentalist preachers under grace refrain from shaving? Would the context there be Old Testament Jews in the land under the law?

Dear Friend.....I have no intention to debate, much less to argue with the point/s you make......I accept what you say.

The forum is entitled 'talkjesus' and the experience of meeting Him would far outshine any other medium of expression, in the heart and life.

"if any man be in Christ he is a new creature, (you cannot get better than that) old things are past away, all things become new".
