Hi mecartz,

Is it Judas Iscariot? I heard he was given 30 pieces of silver to betray Jesus.

Well done guys!

Joh 12:4 Then Simon's son, one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was about to betray Him, said,
Joh 12:5 Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?
Joh 12:6 But he said this, not that he was caring for the poor, but that he was a thief and held the moneybag and carried away the things being put in.

LITV

The Amplified version says '...he was a thief; and having the bag (the money box, the purse of the twelve), he took for himself what was put into it (pilfering the collections)'
