Where are all the Josephs and Jobs?

Are godly and righteous men extinct? Are men who have wisdom to run from seductresses all dead?

Job 31:1
I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman.

Genesis 39:9-12
My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?” 10 And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even be with her.
11 One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside. 12 She caught him by his cloak and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house.

If Joseph and Job can resist temptations and run away from evil women WITHOUT the infilling of the Spirit of God, what IS stopping modern men from doing the same? ENLIGHTEN ME.

And if you happen to be a Joseph or Job, please share your testimony on how you resisted evil women! It is going to help a LOT of foolish and undisciplined men out there!

For that matter, are only men tempted to sin? No! Let me tell you just how I was tempted, not just once to commit premarital sex! But I didn’t and remained a virgin, despite my traumas, despite my weaknesses, despite my flesh, despite my strong sex drive!

First temptation came when I was in high school. This evil atheist man took interest in me because I was physically attractive and had large boobs! He showed his true colours pretty quickly and I ran away from him like he was a plague!

Second temptation came at work. Again an atheist but this time it was a married man who was also a womanizer. He was somewhat handsome, very charming, very gentlemen to all the ladies in the office, so EVERY lady there fawned over him. I was not just physically attractive to him but also emotionally attractive! He dropped hints many times he wanted to marry me. He tried to be physically close to me a couple of times, he did not touch me but was smiling to himself and fantasizing about you know what! I rejected him right at the start because he was married, he was so hurt he even started gossiping negatively about me for doing what is right! So I faced slander for choosing to stay pure!

Third temptation came at University, again a married man! But he was an upright person, it was very obvious he was interested in me by his concern for me and the way he looked at me but he restrained himself! He was probably the first upright man I ever came across so I was also attracted to him! But I also kept my distance though he was physically attractive! He was still into me when I graduated but nothing remotely sexual even happened because we both knew it was not right and we parted ways remaining pure!

So who on earth dare say it is impossible to remain pure because of our sinful nature? I don’t even have the level of faith and dedication as Job and Joseph, but I could do it!

What makes you think there aren't men who do exactly that? And women who do exactly the opposite? Right off the bat, your view of men is limited and not doing you good. You do need enlightenment on this topic, because holding onto those views will seriously hurt you and damage your prospects in life.

Because the only men I’ve came across are those who would use and take for granted my kindness and giving nature? And those women who are the opposite get the love from the same group of men? So men disgust me because my experiences tell me there are no Josephs or Jobs around.

Hi @Godbehonored,

I'm going to plead the case for the defence here. It's never helpful to make sweeping generalisations, you have three bad experiences and from those three extrapolate that all 3.5 billion men in the world are cut from the same tree. When you say: 'So men disgust me because my experiences tell me there are no Josephs or Jobs around.' that indicates to me that your perspective of human nature is somewhat distorted. Yes, men and women do err, it's their sinful nature but that doesn't make them disgusting. If you're looking for a man of similar integrity as Job's you'll almost certainly never experience love and marriage. According to the prophet Ezekiel Job was one of three people in the Bible that got to Heaven on their own merit Ezekiel 14:14 & 20. Maybe you're setting the bar a little bit too high there.

I suspect that if you were to find perfect love, in your current frame of mind you might destroy it through controlling behaviour, jealousy and mistrust. I think you need to work on that by getting to know people of both sexes more deeply, encouraging friendships and getting out more. I'd put dating on the back burner and give the Holy Spirit time to heal your attitude towards others and open your eyes to seeing good in people, forgiving weakness when you see it rather than judging people.

I'd to try be more outgoing and gregarious. Maybe get more involved with your church, if it's a small quite insular church try going to other church's Bible study, prayer meetings and outreach events. There's also groups on the net such as Christian groups I'm hoping that you can learn to enjoy the company of people of both sexes, share, support, care, like and love: altogether more positive, less bitter and twisted about bad experiences - just move on. I really hope that you do one day meet up with your Mr. Right, fall deeply in love, marry and have a family and enjoy a deep, intimate and close relationship based upon a shared love of God and trust in each other that'll get you through good times and bad, together.

May God bless you dear sweet sister. Love you xx

First my conclusions are not based on 3 experiences, in true fact, it has been over 10 experiences meeting men in different settings.

Second, it is not a unique experience that only happens to me. Women who are loving and giving get taken granted by douchebags left and right simply because their behavior is seen as needy when that is just their nature to be giving. People say it’s human nature to take things easily available for granted but God knows their behavior stems from an evil heart. So I’m not giving sweeping statements when I say most men are evil, statistically speaking, seeing how women are treated by men nowadays in relationships. (and I mean women who are capable of being loving and submissive wives) It’s even more pervasive than the pandemic.

Third, I’m done putting my heart out there. Unless some miracle of God comes I’m not dating or marrying, period. I can die a virgin for God, no problem. It will be a fool for me to get myself into situations that only makes me more and more bitter just for the sake of a temporary union.

For that matter I was just silenced (threads/post deleted) and warned by so called Christian for going through a bitter period. Instead of praying for God to heal me he shut me up instead. This is worse than how Job’s friends treated Job when he was in bitterness.

So this is how “Christians” love one another nowadays. LMAO at the hypocrisy, bye Pharisees

Most ironic thing is I’m asked and demanded to forgive those who hurt me 70x7, but when I curse in bitterness with a thread/post I am not forgiven and instead punished with threads/posts removed and a warning sent to my PM. It is so bloody obvious that my cursing isn’t directed at anyone on this forums and definitely not at any men I have not come across in real life. Yet I am not shown one ounce of forgiveness by the same “ Christian” who demands I should give to those who do hurt me. Must be that what I said convicted the evil that is in his heart lol.

Is this forum truly serving God when this level of unloving attitude and hypocrisy is shown, to another Christian? LMAO

Hi @Godbehonored,

I do agree with the mods that you are very prickly and it's really not becoming of a Spirit filled, loving Christian sincerely striving to become more Christ-like. Can I please urge you to forgive and move on from bad experiences and reach out, widen your circle of friends both Christian and non-Christian, sharing with the former and witnessing to the latter? I'd love to be your friend, perhaps we can share uplifting verses when we can by PM, such as -

24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. 25 Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself.

Where I disagree with the mods is deleting your posts, it's very frustrating. I too have had posts that I've spent ages composing, deleted at a stroke. All I would ask is that you forgive them, they're trying to walk a tightrope, making sure that your thread doesn't get too bitter and twisted whilst allowing you vent your spline!

Hope to hear from you soon. God bless you, with lots of love, Andy xx

Oh, so my posts give Christianity a bad image but shutting up a Christian in pain is not giving Christianity a bad image? Being unloving towards a Christian in pain is not giving christianity a bad image?

Again, you keep proving my point. It’s always the victims who need to work on forgiveness when no empathy is even shown, it’s always the victims who are wrong, it’s forever the victims who have to do the hard work despite the pain There is ALWAYS a high demand and expectation of what the victims should do, but the perpetrators are let off the hook easily with no consequences and never even feeling the pain they caused others. It’s hypocrisy and evil to the max and demonstrates a demonic hatred towards the victims.

I do take your advice about going out and healing myself though. God is with me and He never judged me the way people do on here for acting out on my bitterness. Besides, ALL I did was to curse in threads and posts.

But you people don’t even give a fellow Christian the chance to work through her emotions, which will involve getting bitter and angry. But instead you judge my emotions as wrong and place high demands on a person in pain. But God understands my emotions just like He did Job and it was only Job’s friends who felt the need to reprimand him. God never once reprimanded Job for questioning His justice.

For that matter I’m done with this forums. I’ve seen enough hypocrisy and lack of genuine empathy amongst those who are in mystery Babylon. Yes, Christianity is mystery Babylon in revelations. Go figure why because the bad fruits of Christianity organised religion is becoming more glaring day by day. Jesus said a good tree cannot bear bad fruit.
