When You Pray

Did you know that mormons won't say the Lords prayer! They say it is vain. I think they are misguided. What do you think?

Hi johnpaul, since Jesus taught this Himself: "Pray after this manner: 'Our Father in heaven, may Your Name be hallowed, may Your Kingdom come, may Your Will be done: as in heaven, so in earth (Matthew 6:9,10).'"


(the first part of what is called "The Lord's prayer." ) I sure don't think it is vain. His teachings were for us as well as His disciples.

I never knew that about the Mormons, but then I don't know much about their practices, I think that is very ir-reverant to say that, and our Lord Jesus taught this prayer Himself.

I came across one of their Bibles, only got a glance at it, it was in an empty house my cousin was viewing, it seemed quite odd to say the least.

All these cults with their own ways thought up, aren't we so blessed we have the truth, and that truth does set us free, there is no other way to the Father but by Jesus. Amen
