Sometimes it’s easy to forget that God wants to do good things for you. He is in the business of blessing His people—as long as they obey Him from a heart of love. This is what faith is all about. It’s knowing that God wants to have a loving relationship with you so that He can give you great things. Love always give, and God’s perfect love gives perfectly.
The enemy’s number one goal is to keep you from loving God with your whole heart—to keep you from following Him and spending time with Him in prayer. If he can do that, he can more easily tempt you into disobedience, which robs you of God’s very best.
Seeing God’s blessings in your life comes down to one thing: obeying what God tells you to do in His written Word, the Bible. Yes, it really is that simple! The more you do life God’s way, the quicker your eyes will be open to the glorious riches He has for you.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your love. Help me to obey You from a heart of true love—not because I’m afraid You’ll stop loving me. Remind me that I am loved and that You have good things for me when I do the things You’ve told me to do.
