the other night i was sitting and thinking of how it was growing up with my brothers and sisters at home. as i thought back i thought of all the bad things that we did to each other and how mean and hateful we were at times. but we always forgave one another and when it came down to it we would stood togather through many things.

now that i am saved the lord has given us a new family to grow with. yet i see some mean things coming from this. the word of god tells us to confess our faults one to another. but i have seen where when many have tried to do so, they have gotten condemnation, judgement and people in the church looking down on them.

yet the word of god states that we all have faults and things that we need to change or work on. none of us are perfect. the word of god also states that we all need councel and each other as brothers and sisters to stand by us to help us.

whats missing in this world and in the churches today?

I remember when my youth leader committed adultery, everyone was devastated. He was discharged and ordered to step down.
The youths were told to stay away, I couldnt care less. He was still my youth leader. At 16, you still want to believe in your hero, I couldnt turn my back on him.

I'm not lying when I say, the church completely cut him off without counselling or anything. The very same people who he prayed for disowned him. None of the youths seem to have his back.

Well I took myself to his house almost everyday with my friend and had bible study with him. We prayed and we had worship. Seeing him cry made me cry. Its sad that he found counsel from young adults. But God used me and my friend, we were witnesses to his restoration. He made a mistake and all he needed was encouragement to get right.

Today, their marriage is better than ever and he is A Man after God's own heart.

The church need to stop playing God, and be more Christ like.

I remember when some leaders in my church at the time committed adultery and were shamed in church and had to leave too. It was a very sad time for us. We lost a worship leader and assistant pastor through his sin. He left the church and we never saw him again. Their marriage seemed to be so strong that it came as a huge shock to us. The other guy whose wife got involved with this leader has now married someone else.

Then again it says to whom much is given much is expected.

God bless

on both accounts did they come forward with their sins on their own? if they got caught in the act or tried to deny their wrong then the church was right in part. but if they came clean with their sin to repent and do better the church was all wrong.

He confessed, to the church and also within the youths he held a meeting and talked to us. There was no hiding at all. It took alot for him to do so and because of his honesty I could not condemn him.

He did not expect to keep his position, but I'm sure he was expecting counselling for both him and his wife. ( at least his wife she did nothing wrong).

We do expect more from our leaders and we should.
It's every Christian's duty to help restore and not to point the finger.Most leaders sin because of pride.

Most leaders sin because of pride

There is so much truth in that. But its not just leaders its christians on the whole, we get to righteous.

David was not perfect yet, God called him a man after his own heart. David was a leader.

jossj.anderson. we do and should expect more from our leaders. i agree. but if a man sin and comes forward to repent and admit his sin that means he knows he sinned and wants to change and repent from it. there are none of us that are perfect and we all sometimes fall into sin. it does not make it right nor am i trying to justify sin. what i am saying though is that if a man come forward with his sin and a heart of repentence why give him a cold shoulder and push him out as though we are perfect rather than trying to help the man turn from what he has admitted. the word of god states for us to stand together and help one another to over come these things not to condemn one another and send them out as orphans to do the sin again and even more sin that they fall into the hands of the enemy. if this is wrong please share scripture to show it is wrong.

whats missing in this world and in the churches today?

You know I believe what is missing in this world and in the churches of today is the real truth of God's Word being preached the bible talks about people having itching ears in 2 Timothy4:2-5

2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
2Ti 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

You see many people these days just want to be tickled behind the ears so to speak. When they go to church they don't want just straight truth preached to them because they are afraid that they might get convicted. So in order to keep people coming to thier church the preacher does just that. He tickles them behind the ears with words and subjects that are general and wide spread to keep it safe for all. Not that these types teach the wrong things mind you they teach truthes but the are so general there can be do contradiction. Like here is an example they teach on the love of God that is a true thing but it is a safe thing to teach on in the bible because everyone can agree that God is love. Shallow mindedness is what it is called. in short our churches are shallow because the Spirit of God is simulated not really known and felt. It's a tradition, a formality, just going through the motions to them, and it is a sad thing to see. Give me a church and a Pastor that tells it like it is, and if it hurts my feelings that is because I need to get right! Know what I mean? So it boils down to this More and more Churches/people are getting away from Truth, the true Spirit of God, and real worship. The bible says in Psa 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. It says the Lord inhabitest the praises of Israel. The word "inhabitest" means to dwell, or to remain. He dwell in our praises this where he lives! and if we don't preach the Truth for fear of losing people, Promote the true Spirit of God, and praise Our God properly, he cannot dwell in our hearts. well I better stop before I start preaching. hope it helps God bless!

Mar 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

yes that is the truth. everyone has become more about this or that which please the flesh and forget all about the souls of the people. but man they are popular and they are getting that money.
