What is truth?

Everything we see and feel is created by God and continues to exist because of God. Without God they would become nothing. On the other hand, God, who is love exist on His own accord; and is eternal. Therefore, love is the only reality or truth. The world makes us believe that material things and self-interest will bring us happiness and security. This is a lie; because they are devoid of love. That is why we lose peace when we pursue our own interest and material goods. The world has even corrupted the meaning of the word, “love” by equating it with affinity or desire. However, love is not a feeling. It is the spirit of surrender, sacrifice, forgiveness and service. This love is revealed to us in Jesus, who emptied His life for us, so that we (who betrayed Him and were unfaithful to Him) may have life. It is this love that will bring us peace and joy, because when we exercise this love we will be true to what we are created for.

If everything we see and feel is created by God, did God create evil or is evil the absence of God?

God is love, does that mean there are no consequences for sin or that He disciplines His children with a few hard lessons?

You are right, material things bring only temporary happiness, and become devoid of meaning once the new begins to wear away... But with god, love is true, it is strong, it is real, and only grows stronger and stronger with time!

Evil is rejection of God
We are created for love, and to love. When we do what we are not created for we hurt ourself. Since we not created to fly, if we attempt to fly by jumping off a cliff we get killed.
