I was just a lad,
Without a clue of what I owed,
Just how heavy they weighed,
Them, sins that I bore.

I laboured and staggered all the way,
Stumbling every bit of the steps,
Crumbling at the foot of the cross,
Thinking I would rise no more.

Down in that abyss,
Dismal on every side,
A voice whispered in my ears,
Arise, son, arise!

A hand so tender,
And a smile exuding warmth,
Saying, I am glad you met Me,
Wow, I couldn't believe this!

That You overuled the verdict,
Gave me rest I didn't deserve,
Memories of the heavy yoke no more,
But an embrace so warm.

For the weight had deprived my joy.
You gave me grace, not worry,
My baggage I wouldn't have to carry,
But a life forever in your sanctuary.

Oh Jesus, You saved me, just how sweet You are!

Amen thank you Jesus. You saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found was blind but now I see.

Thanks for reading and appreciating.
When i wrote " What i owed", i was praying and fasting . I suddenly felt some filth clouding about me, then i sensed how heavy that would be if it wastn't for salvation given us through the blood of Jesus. I couldn't help but to write the poem.
God bless you again
