Deut. 4:23 - 'Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant ofthe LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image,or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.'

*I remember some years back working on a church PA system in a small*town. I needed to move a table they had set aside for holy communion,*so I proceeded to move this table because I needed to get behind it to*run a few wires. I barely got my hands on the table when a few church*folks came running and screaming at me shouting "NO, DON'T TOUCH THAT*TABLE! IT'S HOLY!" I remember looking at them and wondering what in*the world? It was like they thought Jesus was sleeping under that*table or something and I could not figure it out. But after going to*the Word I realized that some church folks will always make objects Holy and*Sacred, even though God tells us not to do that. There are no holy*objects and there are not covenant items anymore. Jesus did away with*those because he became the "Holy One" and we are now the sacred*objects. God lives in us, not objects. Pagans worship through*objects, but we worship in spirit and in truth!

*God's people have always tried to make God into something that can be*touched, or seen. People have the natural desire to experience God,*but many times, instead of taking the time to know God spiritually, we*desire to put him into an object or something so he seems close to us.*But God is bigger than that! When we attempt to make God*something we can see or touch, we minimize him. If he is perceived as*tangible or visible, then he becomes subject to the rules and laws of*our world. But we should never want God to be limited to our*imagination. That makes him able to only perform according to what you*can think! But what happens when there are things we need from God*that are greater than our thoughts? Don't you know that your mind can*limit the move of God on your life? God is as big as your faith allows*him to be. Let God be God! Stop trying to worship him through a*crucifix, or a picture, or some figure that grandma gave you. Worship*him in Spirit and in truth and believe that he is bigger than you can*imagine him to be, because when hard times hit, and this world weighs*heavily on you, you need a big, supernatural, all seeing and all*knowing God to intervene.
