Hi, I just wanted to share something that God has been helping me understand is necessary to walk in faith ...it's important to keep track of prayer requests and give thanks in faith and show our appreciation.
For example, recently I was waiting for a home and I shared with the Lord what I really deep down hoped for but also said that I was willing to go where He wanted me to go. Then I thanked the Lord for my new home. Even though I got impatient a couple of times I now realise how vital it is to keep on thanking the Lord in faith - a friend helped reassure me that God did have somewhere especially for me. Now i have been blessed with a wonderful home where I really hoped it would be - Praise God!
Maybe this is something that is obvious to most of you, but I found it really helpful to hear teaching on this recently. I forget where the scripture is, but someone shared that the Lord calls things to be, as they will be, not focusing on what they are or were, and that this is what we need to do - to pray in faith (if anyone knows this scripture, please can you post - thanks). I guess another example might be for praying for someone's health and then once the prayer has been made, rather than only waiting we are to make sure we thank the Lord for wholeness and wellness even though the evidence in front of our eyes might seem to say the opposite.
If anyone has anything else to share about this it'd be great to hear from you ...
