I will greatly rejoice in the LORD,
my soul shall be joyful in my God;
for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation,
He hath covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments,
and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
Isaiah 61:10
Greetings,
Once, a very dear friend contacted me and told me there was something very special waiting for me at home.
Now, I got excited.... and I mean really excited about what it might be. I knew in part, but not the fulness of what awaited me.
Have you ever had that happen to you?
When someone is really special to you... and I mean really special, the anticipation of something like this brightens your day like there is no tomorrow and the world looks so much more beautiful.
Getting on with the story, that made me consider my Lord, Jesus Christ.
The Bible tells us that He is the Bridegroom... and we are His Bride.
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Revelation 22:17
Now, something clicked in my excited mind....
as I thought about how I was eager to get home to see what awaited me, it was like a little taste of waiting for the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ the Lord, the Lamb of God, to come....
And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear Him, both small and great.
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
Revelation 19:5
and I was filled with wonder.... and love.... as I waited for my Lord.... and considered all it would be like....
words (my words) don't really express how I felt.
So, I was wondering......
I know what it is like from my point of view, to be waiting for my Bridegroom, but as a man.... I wondered what a woman might think about... how she feels when waiting for that special day....
and I ask if you women folk might like to shed some light on this subject for me... and everyone else of course!
I realise that we are as one in Him, our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Spirit bears witness to us about His love and the Spirit stirs in us as we wait for Him. So, perhaps if some of you dear sisters in Christ who have experienced what it means to you to be waiting for the day of your wedding, could help me out a bit here?
What sort of words can describe such a time?
And, also, how do you wait for Jesus, your heavenly Bridegroom?
Men can also share their waiting hearts.... please do.
In fact, anyone who is waiting for Jesus to come again.... please share this waiting and the loveliness it brings your souls, in Jesus name ><>
Bless you ....><>

Matthew 25:13
Watch therefore,
for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein
the Son of man cometh.
my soul shall be joyful in my God;
for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation,
He hath covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments,
and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
