Romans 10:8-13
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

What a reassuring and powerful truth that passage of Scripture is!

Yet, like all Scripture, there is more to be said, read on:

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Romans 10:14-15

But they have not all obeyed the gospel.

For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

But I say,
Have they not heard?
Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

But I say,
Did not Israel know?
First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people. Romans 10:16-21

What should they hear?
Theories? Cheering? The national anthem or star spangled banner? Tongues, cymbals and gongs? Marching bands? Today's news or yesterday's? Desperate cries of desperate people? Disputes over doctrine? The sound of guns and war? Fighter jets and atomic bombs?

What is the only thing that is needful? In fact, what is it that a man must hear?
What language must he hear it in? Why?

What is, "the gospel of peace"?

and finally for personal reflection only, how beautiful are your feet?
(I was shown a photo of mine this morning amid complaints about how dirty they looked. I tried to excuse myself and say they weren't all that bad... and even honestly proclaimed how the dirt seemed to outline the remarkable tread we have on our feet and that without a bit of help from a little dirt, would go un-noticed - it's wonderful to see how intricately our feet have been put together... let us see if we can put them to God use.)

Bless you ....><>

Let us challenge one another to reach at least one person during the week who hasnt heard the gospel before to get to know Jesus, by word and deed.

We can all reach out just like Paul did to people who werent like himself. He spoke to the gentiles when at the time no jewish person would bother talking or eating with anybody who wasnt jewish.
