Unequally Yoked

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 2 Corinthians 6:14-15 NKJV

Living as Christians in this fallen world means, among many other things, that each of us will come into various forms of contact with unbelievers. That can be a good thing—as long as we exercise godly wisdom when it comes to relating with the unsaved.

Paul’s admonition to “not be yoked together with unbelievers” can be applied to many areas of our lives: who we are close friends with, whom we do business with, and many others.

Paul wasn’t saying that we Christian men should hide away in a monastery, keeping ourselves completely separated from the “unsaved” world. In fact, he wrote that we are not to separate ourselves from ungodly people but only from professing Christians who are living immoral lives (see 1 Corinthians 5:9-13).

The apostle was getting at the wisdom of keeping ourselves from relationships that could influence our hearts and get us to think, speak, and behave in ways that don’t please God and that keep us from growing in our faith.

Remember, “the righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray” (Proverbs 12:26).

Prayer: Father in heaven, keep my heart from being bound together with those who don’t trust or serve You.

Optimally, with your own ethnic group. Blacks have a very high rate of Sickle cell. They also have the highest rates of: Obesity. Diabetes. Hypertension. Heart Disease.
Muslims have a high rate of inbreeding especially Somalians and a higher average of this in the three tribes in the Middle East.
Hispanics: Obesity. Diabetes. Renal disease. Hispanic women: High rates of cervical cancer. Over all heart disease and cancer.
Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander: Smoking. Alcoholism. Obesity. Cancer. Heart disease. Stroke. Diabetes.
I'm White/European descent and I know every group has their own "issues" I'm not increasing the chances by going outside of my group.
