Matt 16:20; Then He warned the disciples that they should tell no one that He was the Christ.

Mark 8:29; And He continued by questioning them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter *answered and *said to Him, "You are the Christ."
Mark 8:30; And He warned them to tell no one about Him.

Matt 9:29; Then He touched their eyes, saying, "It shall be done to you according to your faith."
Matt 9:30; And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them: "See that no one knows about this!"
Matt 9:31; But they went out and spread the news about Him throughout all that land.

Luke 5:13; And He stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, "I am willing; be cleansed." And immediately the leprosy left him.
Luke 5:14; And He ordered him to tell no one, "But go and show yourself to the priest and make an offering for your cleansing, just as Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."

Luke 8:56; Her parents were amazed; but He instructed them to tell no one what had happened.

I just wonder.... why did Jesus often tell people not tell anyone what He did for them?
Of course many of them told many people anyway. But why... do you think He told them not to?

Matt 12:16; and warned them not to tell who He was.
Matt 16:20; Then He warned the disciples that they should tell no one that He was the Christ.
Mark 1:43; And He sternly warned him and immediately sent him away,
Mark 3:12; And He earnestly warned them not to tell who He was.
Mark 8:30; And He warned them to tell no one about Him.
Luke 9:21; But He warned them and instructed them not to tell this to anyone,

John 7:10; But when His brothers had gone up to the feast, then He Himself also went up, not publicly, but as if, in secret.

To every purpose, there is time and judgment

Matthew 6:4 (NKJV) that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one's praise will come from God.

Mark 4:22-23 For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light.
If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear."

Daniel 2:47 The king answered Daniel, and said, "Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets since you could reveal this secret."

Romans 16:25 Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began

Romans 16:25 Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began

Ecclesiastes 3:1-10 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:

A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up;
A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away;
A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak;
A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.
What profit has the worker from that in which he labors?
I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied.
