Under the Surface - June 04, 2007
Psalm 62:2 God is my rock and my salvation
Yes, I am sure of it! There is something wonderful and enticing under the surface of the Atlantic right outside our window! The birds know it. They are swarming to this particular area - swooping and swooshing; diving into the water, taking their share of the wonderful bounty under the face of the ocean.
The delight below the surface was hidden to my eye, but not to the trained eye of those feathered fliers. These birds see the surface of the water from a different perspective than I do, and they have visual abilities which are much more refined than mine.
Many people are gathered below the "surface" of life. I may not see anything significant or inviting about them, but God does. He sees the good, the appealing, the delightful and the potential in each person who lives in the swarm of life, and He stands ready to "scoop them up!"
Well, I'm thankful He caught me, and you, and all our brothers and sisters in Christ, so He could use us to glorify Him and so we could be used to further His kingdom.
