Once, Jesus encountered a group of ten lepers, and they cried out for Him to have mercy on them and heal them of their disease. Jesus told them to go show themselves to the priests. This was what people were to do after they'd been healed of leprosy (Leviticus 14:2-32). But as far as the ten men could see, they still had leprosy. But they believed Jesus would heal them, and they went anyway…and were healed.
The ten lepers had to put their faith in God into practice. They trusted that Jesus would heal them--even though they still had the disease. However, their obedience to Jesus' command proved that they trusted He would heal them.
So you need God to do a miracle? Are you needing finances to come in? Do you need a healing? Do you need your marriage to go through a major change? Perhaps you need to take steps of faith, acting as if you already possessed what He has, in fact, promised to do for you. You can't always expect God to act immediately, but do expect Him to act.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to trust You and to step forth in faith, to act as if I had already received what You have promised to give me.
