This subject, traditional burial or cremation was brought up by a pastor at a Sunday evening service! The pastor said there was no right or wrong answer. He said wanted to be buried like Jesus was.
I said I was going to be cremated, I could not justify the expense of a traditional funeral. Well, some woman raised her voice had said that cremation is barbaric and burial was the only way. Then she left, that pretty much cooled everything. The meeting ended shortly after!
The Bible does not speak of cremation, only burial. Personally, it's an individual choice, how ever one wants their remains to be handled that is their business.
