Dear people of Christ,
I am having some big big spiritual problems.
I have been baptized by a church who preaches 'baptism for the remission of sins' . I believe only Christ's blood saves me, they also believe this yet also say baptism for the remission of sins. This church i go to advices me not to go to other churches as they dont teach this. I can understand their point. However, i feel so inprisoned, i really want to have confidence in the faith, but doubts attack me constantly.

And i DESIRE SO MUCH to have fellowship with those who belong to Christ and to have a heart of LOVE. Please pray that i may be guided by God to the right people so i can worship Him with all my heart and strenght without doubts. I cannot express myself fully, forgive me, but the Lord knows what i am going through. Please pray.

'Baptismal Regeneration'

I have heard of this teaching, but I have not met any who seriously pursue it. Scripture does associate 'baptism' and 'belief in Jesus' in a number of places.

"he that believeth and is baptised shall be saved" My 16:16 etc.

Other scriptures inform us that 'water baptism' is an outward sign of inward grace. 'Water Baptism' is clearly taught in the scriptures and was practised by the Early Church.....'Acts of the Apostles'

We are 'saved' from sin by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Salvation comes to us through Jesus "Christ died for our sins"
1 Cor 15: 3

God Bless you brother

dear Sam,

u know that i've been praying for you. and you must know that the Lord whom you acknowledged in your life is not a God of confusion but of peace, love, and joy.

may the Lord lead you in the right place and fellowship through the Holy Spirit.

God loves you so we are here.

blessings always in Christ name.

always in Christ,

I have been one of the converts of such teaching and was once confused too as Sam was. But I thank the Lord, He brought me up to the right place and fellowship of believers who does not claim themselves to be the only TRUE Church holding the right TEACHINGS and DOCTRINES; but acknowledges still the other members/parts (other fellowships) as Christ's Body.

now, if ever i might be on other parts of the world, i know a lot of Christ Body is out there to have fellowship with if the Church where I belong now is not found there.

I'm no longer afraid of being absorbed in wrong teachings and doctrines because i believe we are guided and taught rightly about having your own local church. and that's cool. Amen

all glory to God!!!!

Hello SAM_M.

The trap of mankind is that we obey with our emotions (believer or unbeliever). Our earthly philosophy, if things feel right, then it must be right. Unfortunately, we use our emotions as an compass to truth versus obedience. Thus, when a very important subject of salvation of our souls comes, peoples emotions take over and we get sentimental towards family, friends and our experience. We want the narrow road to be bigger. However, God's expects obedience to get into & stay in his Son's Kingdom while we have this short time on earth.

The question is, what is God's plan of salvation/reconciliation for those living on this side of the cross?

Answer, being united to Jesus' death, Jesus' burial, Jesus' resurrection.

So how do we do that now? What exact point do we go from not being united to Christ, lost in our sin, and in darkness (lost); to being united in Christ, our sins washed away both before and after, receive God's Spirit within, and in the light (saved).

Some say its after a sincere sinners prayer, others after the baptism of Jesus. Both say, you need your personal faith in Jesus & repentance.

What are the last words of Jesus before going to Heaven and after his resurrection (Matthew 28:18-20 & Mark 16:15-16)? Did the apostles obey and teach these words?

Acts 2 (start of the church)
Romans 6:1-10
1 Peter 3:18-22
Galatians 3:22-29
Colossians 2:10-15

If we had the ability to go back in time into the first century, Jesus' last words and the apostles commands were clear on how to be right before God & the salvation of our soul. Unfortunately, man has confused Jesus' teachings in Christendom over time with false teachings, Christian religion and terminologies.
