Fussing between us is silly.
We all see the way the big churches act. We do not need to be told what is right and wrong about all that. It just jumps out and shouts at us.
God was pretty smart in the old days, he took the heritage and property away from a particular tribe and gave them incentive to preach and maintain the temple and so on. By doing this they earned a living. So the original tithe was for this purpose.
Give if you wish, do not if you wish not to. Give food or something to a charity, or if on the news a home burns down or something you can call the fire station and find out where to go help.
No one church or one situation is the same, each stands on its own merits.
There is no requirement that I am aware of that says you have to give so much or this much or whatever. It is just what God places in your heart to do.
