Can you remember the last time you worshipped God with everything you had and then felt overwhelmed with love for Him and gratitude for all the amazing things He does for you every day?
While you shouldn’t base your relationship with God on emotion only, you can still enjoy those moments when your heart feels overwhelmed with love and gratitude toward your heavenly Father. He’s more than worthy of the smiles, the words of praise, even the tears that pour forth when you feel and enjoy His amazing presence…and when you think on the things He has done for you.
When you think long and deep about who God really is, and then about the wonderful things He has done for you (starting with your eternal salvation), you’ll find yourself feeling deep gratitude and speaking words of praise to your heavenly Father. That’s what being thrilled with God really looks and feels like!
Prayer: Father in heaven, thank You for the many, many things You have done for me—and continue to do for me daily. May my heart and mind be filled with gratitude, and may my mouth speak words of thanks for Your generosity and goodness.
