just wondering if there are any other hunters on this site?
i enjoy it but find a lot of people surprised that i am both a christian and a hunter. does anyone else find that?
personally i dont think hunting is wrong for a christian as i only shoot animals that are a pest or that i can eat but if anyone has scriptural evidence that its wrong i would happily hear it.
otherwise im just keen to hear some hunting stories :)

Righteo, if everyone else is to sad to reply to this I'll have a go, just to make you feel loved:love:lol.

I'm a hunter and I think your right that alot of people do think like that, but the majority of hunters I know are christians, so it never surprises me when I hear that a person is both a hunter and a christian.

I don't think its wrong, especially here in NZ where its essential that animals are managed (but thats a whole other issue in its-self). Anyway as you know I/we arn't gunna be endangering any species anyway lol.

Here's abit of scripture for you. It probably wasn't intended to condone hunting but it certainly suggests that animals can be killed, atleast for food anyway.

6When I looked in it, I saw animals, wild beasts, snakes, and birds. 7I heard a voice saying to me, "Peter, get up! Kill these and eat them."
Acts 11:6-7

Later.

My husband is a hunter and we don't have no issue about this subject, unless one is hunting something that is not for food or protection. I don't think we should be shooting something to lay to waste.

Your sister in Christ, Trish
