This Road I Tread

What is this road I tread lord?
Is there light at the end of the tunnel?
Everyside seems so dark
But Lord I know you are there.

All that I desire,
Whatever I set my heart to,
Comes with upset.
And loudly I call to you my maker
Make your way known to me lord.

Please, please Lord,
Not your back,
Not the fury and wrath,
But your smiling face,
Only your open arms

Not anymore how I know,
But if you could, begin with me now
Just now lord, for I am so spent.
Even if you would break me
Together, you would put me back again.

Heartfelt! Sounded like a poetic prayer. If I can hear you, you know that God has heard already ... in fact the scriptures tell us ... God hears, before we even utter our prayers. That is a comfort in itself.
