This lover of mine, he promised to make me shine
He promised pleasure untold, and my action to make it unfold
He said he loved me, would always be there for me
Always take care of me
He appealed to something inside, I envisioned the great ride
he would take me on at high tide

Our first year together was so exciting, there was no fighting

The pleasure at a price, never even thought twice,
Broken, betrayed, by this lover of mine,

Then came the True Knight, thundering in, shining armor blazing bright,
(The other I realize now, never had in light)
And this one shouts – “Stand up and fight,
You belong to me, your soul is my right”
In one swift motion, His love stronger than any potion,
I’m lifted up, up, and away, into my NEW DAY!
