There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit

A lot christians always quote half of a "sentence" to cover their sins and corrupted ways! Their response is always: "now there is no condemnation to those which are in Christ Jesus", then they stop in right in the middle of a sentence! To justify their sins to the unlearn. They never quote the whole sentence, or speak relating to the paragraph in which it is written.
(Romans 8)KJV
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God."

They do not want to hear this, But I got news for You, your very Life depends on that you do know the truth! Because when Jesus come back, Ignorance is not going to be a excuse, especially if you learn how to read a sentence and learn what a paragraph is in Grammar school! GOD is a Intelligent GOD, And He will not be Mock, especially by "Miss Know it All"!, you might have your husband trick. "For there is no respect of persons with GOD", and "For there is neither male nor female in Christ Jesus"! You might have got by or you think you slip it past your husband, But "whatsoever" a person sows, they shall reap", You have not rejected your husband but you have rejected GOD! and "The wages of Sin is Death" but the gift of God is eternal Life" Now, did you chose Death or did you chose Life'?" think about it. Did you chose the pleasure of sin for a season for the exchange of "Eternal Life"! You cannot have both.

This one women, wrote: " I am a christian, but I fornicate a Little: My Commitment is Celibacy." Sin will blind you to the truth! A Polluted soul, can only produce adulterated answers. A lot of Christians do not believe that, when you sin, you become blinded to the Truth even that much more! Because you have be "Polluted" especially sexual contamination, for it pollutes you very soul that soap cannot wash away. And Jesus told the women, no go and sin no more, And to another, less a worst thing happen to you! Sexual sins provides the opening for demonic invasions of all kinds of diversions. It does not matter if you believe it or not! One of the reasons is God word has commanded you this, that you might not get contaminated by the world and by these people.
( 1 Cor. 5) BSB.
"But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother [ or sister] but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a verbal abuser, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. What business of mine is it to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?…"

One thing I have notice throughout the years about christians, "Birds of the same feathers flock together"!

Hello @PloughBoy,

Though I can understand why you would wish to caution the believer to live in a manner that is worthy of the One Who has called them, and not use this assurance of 'no condemnation' as an excuse to behave in a manner which was not honouring. Yet it is true that freedom from condemnation is not conditional upon the walk of the believer; it is entirely conditional upon the work of God's Son. We must be 'free', before we can think of walking according to the spirit. While we were in slavery, we were in the flesh, and could not please God. We were freed because of the finished work of Christ, accomplished on our behalf while we were 'yet sinners', and in order that we might be sanctified.

'Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free,
and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.'

(Galatians 5:1)

'For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty;
only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh,
but by love serve one another.'

(Galatians 5:13)

Thank you

I agree 100 %. That is why it is important to included the whole sentence. But most christians only quote half of that sentence, By doing that , many who called themselves christians, thinking they are free to sin and there will be no "condemnation" applied to them.

2.3 billion Christians
"According to the Pew Research Center, in 2015, there were 2.3 billion Christians of all ages living in the world. The Center for the Study of Global Christianity (CSGC) at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, reported that the number of Christians in the world edged past 2.5 billion in 2019.Apr 16, 2020"

The call here as "B-A-C" is also applying as the Bible has also proclaim is, Let everyone who names the name of Jesus , examines themselves to make sure they are truly a "true child of GOD".

English Standard Version(2Cor.13).
"Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!"

No doubt there are many who called themselves "Christians" who are not "in Christ" and don't know it. For the "Spirit" of the Living GOD is not Living in them.
in the Numbering of the "2.5 billion" confessing christians through out the world. I believe, we all must examine ourselves daily to see if we are in the faith as well.:pensive:

No shortage of nominal christians dying every day - for "walking after the flesh" - which is "living after the flesh".

Greetings,

No shortage of nominal christians dying every day - for "walking after the flesh" - which is "living after the flesh".
or is 'walk after' actually walking after as in following rather that following the Master?

Looking at him, Jesus felt a love for him and said to him, “One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
Mark 10:21

If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

John 12:26

Hello @B-A-C,

The commandment being that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

We therefore know if we abide in Him, if the spirit we are manifesting, is that we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and love one another, for that is the fruit of the indwelling of His Holy Spirit. So there should be no bullying, condemnation or unkindness evident among the members of this forum, should there? but encouragement. kindness and loving acceptance in Christ Jesus, our Saviour, Lord and Head.

Yes, thats it.
...and how do we love one another?
Hello @B-A-C,

(1) If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
(2) Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
(3) For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
(4) When Christ, Who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory.
(5) Mortify (ie., reckon as dead ) therefore your members which are upon the earth;
fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

(6) For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
(7) In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
(8) But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
(9) Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with His deeds;
(10) And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him:

(11) Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
(12) Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
(13) Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
(14) And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
(15) And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

(16) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

(17) And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.

Thank you

Up to a point, yes. We should be at peace with one another as far "as it up to you". But we shouldn't just "all just get along", at the expense of the truth. That is a problem I have with many churches today.

Hello @B-A-C,

I agree it should not be peace at all costs. However the peace that we are to 'keep' - 'the sevenfold unity of the Spirit' - 'within' (Ephesians 4:1-7), is 'the bond of peace'(v.3), which the Lord Jesus Christ created on the cross when He took away 'the middle wall of partition' (Ephesians 2:14), and:-

'Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us,
which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross;
And having spoiled principalities and powers,
He made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.'

(Col 2:14-15)

... thereby creating a unity and an equality among the members of the Church which is His Body.

'Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
There is

one body, and
one Spirit, even as ye are called in
one hope of your calling;
One Lord,
one faith,
one baptism,
One God and Father of all,
Who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.'

(Eph 4:3-7)

* That is the peace which we are to preserve: and that requires that we honour the sevenfold unity of the Spirit (Ephesians 4:3-6), which is already made, in a spirit of lowliness and meekness. That is what is to characterise our behaviour towards one another. For we are all One in Christ Jesus. If one therefore hurts, all hurt.

Praise God!

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris

Yes, thats it.

...and how do we love one another?
And who are the "one another" in this "biblical context"? Ans: They are the "true children of GOD". And who has taught us how to love our "Brothers and Sisters in Christ? The Bible says:
( 1 Thes. 4: 9, 10).
…"Anyone, then, who rejects this command does not reject man but God, the very One who gives you His Holy Spirit. 9Now about brotherly love, you do not need anyone to write to you, because you yourselves have been TAUGHT by GOD to love ONE ANOTHER.. 10And you are indeed showing this love to all the brothers throughout Macedonia. But we urge you, brothers, to excel more and more...FF

PS There is a different type of love we show to our brothers and sisters in Christ than we show to the people of this world.

There is a different type of Love Our Father shows to us that is different from the type of Love He shows to the rest of the People of this world.

Greetings all,

not many of us get to the seventy times seven.
We tend to get weary before we get there, so should we tally up the cost of our love, how would it weigh up?

I love God, I love my neighbors.

I haven't went after any other gods or worshiped them.
I haven't killed anyone.
I haven't stolen anything.
I haven't cheated on my wife. (I don't look at porn, or even cheat on my thoughts)
I haven't told any lies about anyone.
My father has passed on, I don't live near my mother, but I call her frequently, we are close. I think she would say I "honor her".

So, yes.. I think I'm doing pretty good.

I probably don't keep the Sabbath day too well. But Jesus didn't either.
If you can show me in the NT where it says I need to do this, I will reconsider.

I can't say I've never sinned since I've been a Christian, we have already covered this.
But technically.... if I answer you question as asked above.... 24/7

Yes, I have certainly gone 24 hours without breaking those commandments. Yes I have certainly gone 7 days a week without breaking those commandments.
So the way your question is asked, I can say yes.

If you would have asked 24/7/365 - I would have had to say no.
