If you peruse the bible, you will find that simple has a dual meaning, sometimes it refers to fools and other times as follows:
Psalm 19:7 (Whole Chapter)
The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the [whole] person; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
The above is what I adore about God. Making wise, the simple. Because I feel that I am a simple person and that by reading the word and sharing the word, I myself become wise. This is for all of us to hold on to.
In Psalms there are many references about the simple and God's love for them.
# Psalm 116:6 (Whole Chapter)
The LORD protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me.
# Psalm 119:130 (Whole Chapter)
The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.
In Proverbs, simple is really a derogatory word. I have seen it used by some as a way to degenerate simple wisdom and people that think with a positive "simple" mind.
What do you think of these two different meanings. I love to hear simplicity.
Hope to hear it from you.
James 5:12 (Whole Chapter)
But above all [things], my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath; but let your yes be [a simple] yes, and your no be [a simple] no, so that you may not sin and fall under condemnation.
Amen and looking forward to your thoughts on this
