You can make a comeback!
'SAMSON PRAYED..."LORD, REMEMBER ME...PLEASE STRENGTHEN ME JUST ONE MORE TIME.' JUDGES 16:28
Have you ever read the story of Samson? It's worth a look. Here's a guy who has a massive weakness which seems to ruin him but in the end God uses him in a way few men have been. His weakness? A woman: 'She pressed him daily...and urged him' (Judges 16:16 NAS). Note the words 'pressed' and 'urged'.
Be ready, your enemy will keep trying and all it takes is one moment of weakness to ruin everything. There are doors you should never open. There's an old saying that goes like this, 'Every morning in Africa a gazelle wakens and knows it has to run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa a lion wakens and knows it must outrun the swiftest gazelle or it will starve to death.
It matters not whether you're a lion or a gazelle, when the sun comes up you'd better be ready to run!' Peter warns us to be alert because 'Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8 NIV).
Samson remembered God! It's pretty awesome thing when someone runs back to God and as always God was there patiently waiting, arms open the whole time. Samson's last recorded prayer was from a prison cell, 'Lord, remember me...please strengthen me one more time.' Was his prayer answered? Yes, and his final moments were used to bring havoc to the enemies of God.
Regardless of where you are today or what shape you're in, turn to God. He'll straighten out the crooked places in your life and help you make a comeback!
