Make your money - His servant!
'Whoever loves money never has money enough.' ECCLESIASTES 5:10
Sure everyone needs a bit of cash, but don't let it take over your life. Three things that money aint:
1) a best mate. A wad of money might buy you a bit of bling, but it won't be a shoulder to cry on when you're hurting, it won't have you in stitches over the phone, it won't have a kick about with you down the park. Money can buy people, it can't buy friends
2) a ticket to happiness. So what would you spend your millions on anyway:a fast car; swimming pool for the house; pair of solid gold underpants? You'd soon become bored of your latest new gadget and toy. Jesus knows this, that's why He said, 'Life is not defined by what you have, even when you have a lot' (Luke 12:15, TM)
3) a comfort. Jesus told a story (Luke 12: 16-21) about a rich idiot who thought he had things sussed. He had so much stuff he didn't have enough room for it. Rather than being creative and kind with it, he decides to build bigger spaces to keep it all for himself. That same night he dies, so who ends up with it all? Not him that's for sure. The point is we end up with nowt when we fill up on ourselves rather than God. Bottom line: Aim to be loaded with God not cash.
