Just Hanging Out

Have you noticed that if you spend time with a person who is really fun and laughs a lot you find yourself laughing more and seeing the funny side to things too?
Just like if you spend time with a person who is always backstabbing and being nasty about people behind their backs you may begin to realise that you're starting to do it too. The relationships you make and the people you hang out with will influence you in the end.
Anyone can become so caught up in the wrong crowd and in bad company that it's easy to make choices we never would have made on our own. That's why it's important that you choose your mates carefully.
It's also why you need to make your relationship with God your number one priority. When you spend time hanging out with God, talking to Him and listening to what He has to say it will have an amazing effect on your life. How?
Well let's take one part of God's character, Love. God is Love ...He can't stop Himself from loving you. If you hang out with the one who knows how to love people perfectly then that love will start to rub off on you. You'll find yourself going out of your way to smile at people you used to ignore. You'll find yourself having patience with people who normally do your head in. The fact is the relationship you have with God directly affects your relationships with other people? So make God your number one priority today - make sure you spend quality time with Him!
