Confidence (1)
'Do not throw away your confidence.' HEBREWS 10:35
Why do we think celebs are so special? Who gave them a double dose of confidence? Who put the kick *** in their attitude? Unlike us mere mortals, were they just born to do it? Actually, it's because they've got expensive PR people working behind the scenes, making them look good.
Now, you probably don't earn enough pocket money to hire your own ace PR department, but don't worry, God is well up for the job. God's always working behind the scenes. Check this out: '... I have learned [during a lifetime of walking with God] the secret of being happy at any time in everything that happens, when I have enough to eat and when I go hungry, when I have more than I need and when I do not have enough. I can do all things through Christ, because He gives me strength' (Philippians 4:12-13 NCV).
Paul didn't need some high flying PR guru working behind the scenes, he had Jesus working through him! Knowing that gave him the ability to handle everything that came his way. Confidence is taking your present situation; whatever's in your face, whatever's limiting your life, messing with your head or screwing up your dreams; and then facing the fear and giving it to God. If you think you can't cope, remind yourself who can by reading Philippians 4:12 -13 again.
