'We become more like Him.' 2 CORINTHIANS 3:18
Boffins say that the human mind is geared up to remember things in threes so we'll look at this really important subject at becoming more like Jesus one more time... You're young and you've got your life ahead of you, opportunities to do all sorts of cool things. What matters most is that whatever you do, you do it like Jesus would do it. Remember being like Jesus doesn't mean being a geek.
Just don't become so well adjusted to your culture or fit into it so well that you can't un-fit yourself when you need to. So how do you do that? God uses His Word, people and circumstances, to bring out the best in us. God's Word provides the truth we need to know, God's people provide the support we need to grow and our circumstances provide the environment we need to show Christ's likeness. Make sure that you get into God's Word, connect with Christians regularly, and learn to trust God in every situation and you become more like Jesus; it's a guarantee.
We all like to fit in, but fix your attention on God. He'll change you for the better, from the inside-out; unlike the world around you, changing you for the worst, from the outside-in. Check out this promise: 'He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion' (Philippians 1:6).
