The Victorious Gospel

The old English word “gospel,” translated from the Greek “euaggelion,” literally means “good news”.

Good news of victory

When the army was victorious in the days of the Roman Empire there was only one means of communicating its victory to the people back in Rome...a runner would be sent. He would run all the way from the defeated city, burst through the gates of Rome and shout for all to hear gospel!!...gospel!!” – “good news!!... good news!!”

It was the declaration of the good news of total victory over the enemy!

Victory over Satan

“He who does what is sinful is of the devil...The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.” 1 John 3:8

The reason Jesus Christ came into the world was to undo the victory that had been won by Satan which was handed to him by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Jesus came to destroy the work of the devil and make his victory over Satan available to all mankind.


“And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross” Colossians 2:15


The Cross of Christ affected Satan and all the spiritual powers of darkness in three ways: By it, the Lord Jesus…


• Triumphed over them
He answered every ground of the Enemy’s right over mankind.

• Disarmed them
He stripped them of all their weapons used against us.

• Made a public spectacle of them
He proclaimed His victory throughout the heavens…and commissioned us to proclaim it throughout the earth!


“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him” 2 Corinthians 2:14

In Roman days, when the victorious army arrived back in Rome, the general would lead his soldiers, and the captives they had taken, in a “triumphal procession” through the streets, throwing out to the people all around gifts taken from the spoil of the victory (Ephesians 4:7-13). It was a very festive occasion as the people cheered and applauded and the air was filled with the sweet smell of spices burning in the streets. We are rejoicing in the great victory won by the Cross! As we proclaim it wherever we go, and display the triumph of His finished work in people’s lives, His victory will spread around the world (Mark 16:15-20; Acts 1:8).

Gospel of Christ...

Good news on How Jesus the Anointed one and his anointing went about doing good, Healing the sick, and destroying the works of the devil...

The Gospel of Christ without the Power and anointing to be healed, set free from the bondage of Poverty, Be mentally free, is not the Gospel at all but a watered down version that only preaches.. Jesus just wants you saved, and that is all..

Luk 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

The Gospel of Christ....... The Good news of the power of the anointing to change things, The greater one in us, that is far greater than any power the devil can muster, or things he can do to us.

When John asked if this Jesus was the one, or should we wait for another..... Jesus said.

Luk 7:20 When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

Luk 7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

That is the REAL Gospel of Christ............ Good news, that the lame walk, Leapers are cleaned, the deaf can now hear, the dead can be raised, and the poor do not have to be poor anymore!!!

Now if we could find men and women who will have faith, Stay anointed, and carry the real message.... This world groans and waits for the REAL manifestations of the sons and daughters of God...

Rom 8:19 For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God's sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship].

Jesus Is Lord.
