The start of something new
When you’re in the middle of a tough season of life, it can be hard to see through the fog you’re in. Sometimes, we can’t see the next step in front of us, and it feels like we’re going to be smashed on the rocks. But I believe it’s when we’re right in the middle of the valley of the shadow of death that we are most aware of our need for Jesus.

I’ve learned in life that whenever I’m lost in a fog of grief or pain or uncertainty, that’s when God is taking me to a new place of faith and maturity. While we may not see it initially, there’s always a purpose to our pain - and God will use the tough times to grow something new in us. In fact, God warned us that we would have trouble in this world, but He also said through the prophet Isaiah that He would “… not cause pain without allowing something new to be born.”

Today, in the midst of your pain … when uncertainty surrounds you like a fog and you can’t see where you’re going - know that God is birthing something new in you.

“Shall I bring to the point of birth and not cause to bring forth?” says the Lord; “shall I, who cause to bring forth, shut the womb?” says your God." Isaiah‬ ‭66:9‬ ‭
