A phrase you often hear.. don't worry about anything except believing in Jesus.
Anything else is making too much out of things.
A partial verse that is often quoted... "do not be led astray from the simplicity which is Christ".
Yet the NASB version of this verse says...
2 Cor 11:3; But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.
The NLT puts it like this...
2 Cor 11:2; But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent.
The simplicity that is Christ is simply doing what you're supposed to do. Following His teachings and examples.
Obeying His commands and following is ways. The verse above also says you can led astray or corrupted (just as
Eve was). This verse isn't saying the simplicity of Christ is do nothing but believe.
This verse is saying the simplicity AND devotion doing what you know to do can be led astray and corrupted.
