There is no translation mistake here in these following verses. All three similar verses Lord Jesus spoke have the same meaning.
"Whoever FINDS his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it" Mathew;10;39
"For whoever WANTS [TRIES TO- NKJV] to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it." Mathew;16;25
Luke;9;24
"The man who LOVES his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life."Luke;12;25
Now the Lord told to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. But people ignore it and go after the things of the world. They go after good education and good jobs and big houses and all that. But how many are rich toward God?How many of them serve God with all their heart?.
And listen to the danger underlying the following scripture.
And he told them this parable: "The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. 17 He thought to himself, 'What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.' 18 "Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19 And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.'" 20 "But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?' 21 "This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God." Luke;12;16-21
It sounds like this applies to ANYONE who is not rich toward God,but stores up things for himself. Some people blame it on the rich and treat this scripture saying it affects only the rich people. But if we closely examine this scripture we can find out the danger underlying this parable.vs;21 says "This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God." Luke;12;16-21
