The problem with religion

The problem with religion is that sooner or later it's defined by who's following the rules and who's not. Kinda like the public swimming pool with fences, wristbands and lifegaurds watching your every move. A relationship with Jesus is more like the diving board at the public pool. When you're on one all you do is dive and invite others to do the same. There are places for structure. But when we subordinate 'the relationship' to rules everyone loses.

Written by Jonathan Foster.

It was the great man Paul who said.......Looking into Jesus..........etc

We follow Him....under whatever banner.....Jesus is our Master. All else is unnecessary.....we follow Jesus

I think everyone has his/her *way* with God, we are not saved by good deeds, only through our salvation and it's personal, God loves everyone because he created us special, it's personal.

It's more of a relationship than of a God ordering and bossing us around, God isn't treating us that way, he treats us as his children.
We break his rules and he welcomes us with a hug and a treat!

Praise the Lord.

I believe when the author said " rules", he wasn't referring to God's rules/ commandments but to man's traditions.
Some churches have their rituals that have nothing to do with God...that why he said " we".

But when we subordinate 'the relationship' to rules everyone loses.

In deed its a personal relationship with God, and yes he welcomes us with a hug.

This happens after repentance, but we have to be careful not to become rebellious and abuse his grace and mercy.

1 Samuel 15:23 (KJV) "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft..."

This is a great quote to churches built on mans traditions rather than God's commandments.

I totally agree with you sister, and yea I think he meant how us people misunderstand God and we judge people terribly.
Churches and people judge others I mean.

Yeah..it frustrates me at times...but all I can do is pray for them.

I've seen so many people leave churches because leaders, were more interested in following their own rules.

I've seen people rejected and thrown away by churches for the churches *traditions*
In the catholic church before getting Jesus's blood and flesh, they're supposed to fast 12 hours, a friend didn't fast then the priest refused to let him take the communion, since then this friend hated going to church!

Many ways may lead to Christ.....but only CHRIST the DOOR leads to God

"I am the door" said Jesus "by me. if anyman/woman enter in they shall be saved"

I think everyone has his/her *way* with God,
Incorrect........

there is only one way....His Name is Jesus

God Bless You
