There was a priest who was on top of a hill one day when a flood swept through the town. The water was rising up the hill he was on rapidly. The Coastguard were dispatched and came to the priest on the hill. "Father, come aboard so you don't drown!" The priest replied, "No thanks, the Lord will save me." The water climbed even higher and the Coastguard came back again. But still the priest replied, "the Lord will save me." The Coastguard came one more time but with no luck in getting the priest on the boat. The water finally reached the top of the hill and the priest drowned. In Heaven the priest asked God, "Father, why didn't you save me?" God replied, "Well I sent the Coastguard to pick you up three times!"
