The Price Is Too High

The price is too high, so many actions say
God is asking more than they are willing to pay
we must separate from what God does not like
for some homes this will cause a great fight
The price is too high for some to leave their friends
they enjoy their company and mutual sins
God wants too much of them they think
at habitual sin they want him to wink
It’s a sad thing that so many will die
because they thought that God’s price was too high
God is asking us to trust and obey
can we do it alone? There is no way
Jesus died in vain if nobody calls on his name
he has the only route to lead away from hell’s flame
Jesus is the answer for those who don’t want to die
but sadly some think that his price is too high
many followed God but had a change of mind
not on purpose, they were simply led blind
when truth is presented as God opens the door
God considers one as ignorant no more
when given a choice, so many choose to die
because they consider God’s price as too high
when what is obviously true becomes an issue of debate
it’s time to pack your bags and to separate
no matter what was taught by those who didn’t know
when the issues become clear it is time for you to go
when truth is made clear to the christian mind
the choice is to stand or pretend to stay blind
sadly enough, so many will cry
"Lord I would change, but your price is too high"
