THE NEW CARDINAL VIRTUE AND DEADLY SIN
The "politically correct" added a new virtue to the list, Tolerance, and its accompanying deadly sin, Intolerance. They refuse to have absolutes in any other area, like morals, but insist tolerance is an absolute. Especially toward vice. You must not, by thought, word or deed, hint that anything is evil or wrong in and of itself. You must have tolerance for homosexuality, adultery, fornication, abortion, venereal disease, drunkenness, drug addiction, criminals and pagan religions. All of these must be treated with tolerance, if not outright encouraged.
Christianity and Orthodox Judaism must be denigrated or destroyed because they are intolerant. They insist adultery is sin. Period. We don't say it is sin unless done in a loving fashion to improve an endangered marriage. We don't buy the lie that sodomy is only a sin if indulged in by thrill seeking heterosexuals who aren't 'gay' but just trying to take advantage of the 'loving' perverts. We don't agree that fornication is to be encouraged if the 'lovers are actually in love this time, and not just fooling around. And how can we be so cruel as to deny these loving sinners free (taxpayer paid) health care, abortions and pity as 'innocent victims' of venereal disease or unplanned pregnancies?
Tolerance is now so ingrained that drunks and drug addicts are not perpetrators of crimes, they are helpless victims of alcohol abuse and drug abuse. As if there was a legitimate use of LSD, crack cocaine, and heroin, and these guys just misused them. So much so that California passed a law allowing marijuana cultivation and sales for medical purposes, no matter how flimsy the reasoning given or whether the doctor is a veterinarian, or dentist, and doesn't require the "prescription" to be in writing. Almost every doctor in the state agreed there is no medical reason for its use, but since when do doctors know anything about medicine?
We must have tolerance for other criminals, too. They are all helpless victims of society, and its lopsided and unfair systems. When put on trial, all sob out sad tales of deprived childhoods. (That most people with similar deprived childhoods don't become criminals is ignored.) There must be no hint of punishment for criminals. Thus the ultimate punishment of sin, eternal Hell, must be erased. That would make God an intolerant monster if He actually judged sin, declared its perpetrators evil, and punished them. Who died and made Him God, anyway?
The ultimate crime of Christians and Orthodox Jews is their audacity and nerve to teach their religion is true in an absolute sense. Christians and Jews teach that because their religion is true, all false religions are false religions. To the modernist mind, all religions are equally valid; none are truer than any others. Faith is redefined. It doesn't matter who or what you believe in, as long as you believe in something. Anything will do. All beliefs are equally valid; whether or not they are true makes no difference at all. You must have faith in faith. How dare Christians and Jews insist that you must have faith in something that is true? How dare the Judeo-Christian God insist He is real, and the only Way, Truth, and Life?
My final word on tolerance of evil is found in Isaiah 5:20-25 "How horrible it will be for those who call evil good and good evil, who turn darkness into light and light into darkness, who turn what is bitter into something sweet and what is sweet into something bitter. How horrible it will be for those who think they are wise and consider themselves to be clever. How horrible it will be for those who are heroes at drinking wine, who are champions at mixing drinks, who declare the guilty innocent for a bribe, who take away the rights of righteous people. As flames burn up straw and dry grass shrivels in flames, so their roots will rot, and their blossoms will blow away like dust. They have rejected and despised the teachings of the Lord of Armies and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. That's why the anger of the Lord burns hot against His people, and He is ready to use His power to strike them down. The hills tremble, and dead bodies lie like garbage in the streets. Even after all this, His anger has not disappeared, and He is still ready to use His power."
