Verse 13: Go in through the narrow gate, because the gate to hell is wide and the road that leads to it is easy, and there are many who travel on it.
Verse 14: But the gate to life is narrow and the way that leads to it is hard, and there are few people who find it.
When I read these passages in the Bible it explains that many people will travel through the wide gate. This is because in life, sometimes it can be difficult being a Christian. The unbelieving people of this world sometimes make fun of Christians, and say it is a waste of time believing in God.
I have some friends and relatives who do not follow their faith in God. It often really concerns me, but they think they know best. Many of these people who I know, were brought up in the Christian faith and came from Christian homes. The troubles and concerns of this life have left them leaving their faith and not attending church anymore.
How will God judge those who never had the chance to hear the Word of God?
Will these people walk through the wide gate to hell, or judged by God as not having the opportunity to hear the Christian faith. Then be accepted into heaven through the narrow gate to life?
There are some circumstances when people are isolated from the Christian faith and are born into their beliefs, so have never been given the chance to hear the Word of God fully.
eg. People of other faiths,...Budists, Hindus etc....People in remote isolated areas of our earth.
