Mark 4:35; On that day, when evening came, He *said to them, "Let us go over to the other side."
Mark 4:36; Leaving the crowd, they *took Him along with them in the boat, just as He was; and other boats were with Him.
Mark 4:37; And there *arose a fierce gale of wind, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling up.
Most of us know the story of Jesus calming the storm. Peace be still.
What some don't know is... Jesus's boat wasn't the only one in that particular storm.
Now of course, a storm doesn't have to a literal weather based storm. Sometimes the storm of life are just circumstances
and situations we are currently going through. Many of us know, Jesus has the ability to calm the storm we are on.
Often when we read this story, we think of the disciples in the same boat as Jesus. We think of their reaction.
But we barely notice the other "boats" around us. The little boats in this story are the other people in your life.
Sometimes when you are going through a bad situation.. ( a storm) it affects people around us. Other people can get caught up
in your personal storm. We ourselves, can sometimes get caught up in someone else's storm. Especially if it' s someone we are
close to and care a lot about. But isn't it comforting to know, that Jesus can calm the storm.
Not just our own personal storm, but everyone else who is caught up in that storm. Lord help us to remember other people
who get caught in our storms.
Mark 4:39; And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace, be still." And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm.
