Revelation 17:13-18 BSB (Berean Standard Bible)
“13These kings have one purpose: to yield their power and authority to the beast. 14They will make war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will triumph over them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and He will be accompanied by His called and chosen and faithful ones.”
15Then the angel said to me, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute was seated, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues. 16And the ten horns and the beast that you saw will hate the prostitute. They will leave her desolate and naked, and they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. 17For God has put it into their hearts to carry out His purpose by uniting to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled. 18And the woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.”
Varied Opinions
There are many and varied opinions on who is who, and on what is what, as was written down by the apostle John in the book of Revelation, which were the words of Jesus, the revelation of Jesus Christ (see chapter 1:1-2). And there are many things written in this book which are hard to understand. And I am no scholar with regard to this book. There are parts I understand better than others, but I do understand the general overall message. And that has to do with us getting our hearts right with God before it is too late.
What I Understand
The Beast, as I understand it, is a collective body of the wealthy and powerful people of the world who are the de facto government of the USA and who are the ones truly ruling the world. They are the ones uniting together to bring us all under the authority and rule of one totalitarian regime called “The New World Order,” which has been in the making for a very long time, and which most of us are already under but don’t yet realize it. And the harlot who rides the beast is the US government, I believe.
So, think about this with me for a moment. What physical nation in the world has the most influence and power over the other nations of the world? “The United States has the most military bases throughout the world, operating roughly 750 to 887 foreign installations across about 80 countries and territories.” “The Department of Defense manages roughly 4,790 military sites worldwide.” And “the U.S. controls roughly 75% to 85% of all foreign military bases globally.” And “the US accounts for roughly 44% of NATO’s overall composite military capabilities.” (source: Google)
This is a quote from a previous writing titled “They Surround Me,” dated 11/01/2016:
“The Lord led me to read the news stories about these take-downs in Afghanistan, Tunisia, Egypt, Gaza Strip, West Bank, Turkey, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan, Yemen, Greece, Syria and Ukraine. I know there are others, too. The stories all had a very similar Modus Operandi. First, the N.W.O. Beast creates the chaos, trouble, uprising, disaster, mass murders, and racial, political or religious tensions, etc., and then they go in as “saviors” with a preconceived plan for “rescuing” these nations. Then they form transitional (New World Order) governments, and they threaten all nations, via the UN and the US government, with “dire consequences” if they do not cooperate with the “international community,” alias New World Order Beast.”
The US government and military were involved in all or most all of these situations, but under the authority of the New World Order “Beast.” For the US government serves “The Beast” as the harlot who rides the beast who does the dirty work of the beast throughout the world in our own nation and in many nations throughout the world, all with the intention of bringing all nations under the rule of The Beast in this New World Order, i.e. totalitarian regime. But one day this is all going to come back to “bite” this nation and she (the USA) will be taken down. I believe that is already in the works.
War Against The Lamb
The kings of the earth who yield their power and authority to the beast have and are and will make war against the Lamb (Jesus Christ). And they have and are and will make war against all who follow Jesus Christ in truth and in righteousness, too. For Christians are being severely persecuted and many of them are being put to death in other nations throughout the world. From what I have read, even the political nation called “Israel” is persecuting and killing Christians, and so is the US government, mostly in other nations.
But Christian persecution is not happening only in other nations. It is happening in the USA, too. And the ones truly being persecuted are probably in the minority, for they are the ones who are teaching and living the truth of the gospel, as Jesus and his New Testament apostles taught it. They are the ones who teach and live what the Scriptures teach that to come to Christ we must deny self, die to sin daily, and follow our Lord in walks of obedience to his commands, in life practice, or not have eternal life with God.
Jesus Christ will triumph over all people and all rulers of nations who deny him as the Christ, the Messiah, and/or who reject his gospel of salvation altogether, or in favor of a diluted false gospel message which makes no requirements for repentance (death to sin) and obedience to God’s commands as required of God for salvation from sin and for eternal life with God – as part of biblical faith from God which saves, which is not of human flesh. And Jesus’ called, chosen, and faithful ones will accompany him.
