A soul that's bruised
is a soul needing redemption
but they don't recognise it
so goes into hibernation
That soul shuts off every sight and sound
pushing off every aid no matter what's said
not knowing where to turn
voices shout inside it's head
Then all of a sudden
heard is a still small voice
clearly speaking to the heart
so different from the other noise
That voice is from heaven
speaking love and mercy
never heard it's like before
feeling for the first time free
Free and full of love
the soul's been raptured by hope
that God's abundant resources
received through His eternal rope
The soul must cling fully
to it's faithful constant Lord
who holds the soul in His arms
guarding it by His double edged sword
