The ignored verses?

Are these verses ignored?
The bread that I give, is my flesh. (John 6:51)
Not everyone that says lord, lord, will enter the kingdom of God, but only the ones who do the will of the Father (Matthew7:21).
Faith without works is dead (James 2:26)
If you love me, you will keep my commandments (John 14:15).
Those who do not forgive, are not forgiven. (Matt 6:15).
Mercy is above law (James2: 13).
We must forgive others without limit (Luke 17:4)
Love our enemy; pray for them; do good for them; if someone takes our coat, give them our shirt as well; offer the other cheek if someone slaps us on one; lend and do not expect it back; and be merciful like our heavenly Father. (Luke 6:27-36)
Do pay evil with evil; never take revenge; feed our enemy; not allow evil to defeat us; and to overcome evil with good (Romans 12:17-21).
To sue another person is a sign of our complete failure (as a Christian); and it is better to be wronged or robbed than to wrong others or rob them (1Cor. 6:7).
No one can put aside, what God has joined in marriage (Mark 10:9). If a divorced person remarries, it is adultery (Luke 16:18). Even if there is unfaithfulness or abuse; we must stay faithful to our marriage vows; just as God is faithful to us even when we hurt him and are unfaithful to him (Hosea 3:1). God hates divorce (Malachi2:16).

arunangelo, I don’t know what is meant by ignored verses. But with regards to abuse in marriage, I believe it is wise for the abused to use physical separation as a form of protection from further abuse. There does not need to be an actual divorce, so the marriage bond remains intact despite physical separation. Once the abuser truly repents the physical separation can be removed. But advising an abused person to remain physically close to receive further abuse is a disservice to the victim. The damage of abuse is often deep and spiritual, and can pose a threat to a person’s walk with God. I do not believe God will be pleased with an advice that jeopardises someone’s faith and salvation.

I think there are quite a few verses in the Bible that are either ignored or interpreted to mean something they clearly don't mean.

Dear Brother,
You might actually be able to use the entire chapter of Isaiah 53 and how many of the Jewish people don't even realize it's contents! So, are there parts as Brother Butch5 has stated and that you have brought that are at times ignored, and surely interpreted, applied incorrectly? Sure.

Just remember that just using a single verse, outside of the context rarely provides one the greater meaning and understanding necessary for growth in His Word.

I truly believe that the whole New Covenant is ignored simply because "Christians" don't understand this one verse: 2 Cor. 5:17--"If any many man is in Christ, he is 'a New Creation,' old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new..." The majority of the church does not understand that they were made a whole different species of being... not physically or emotionally, but spiritually. They were given a new spirit, filled with the very nature and Life of God Himself. In fact. We became the very Righteousness of God--in Christ and were plucked out of the dominion of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of the Son of His love. Although this is the truth ( written in the Scriptures) to the majority of the church, this is NOT the reality. Mainstream Christianity has moved away from the realities taught in the Bible and has settled for religion and traditions of men without ever allowing The Holy Spirit to lead them and guide them through the Word to The Truth "individually." Christianity is NOT a religion, it is a "Faith," it is an individual relationship and walk with God The Father through His Son Jesus Christ through whom we were "adopted" as the children of God and carry within us "The Light of Life"... Eternal Life,. We are not "mere men"... we are "partakes of His Divine Nature" and must learn to walk that way. Most Christians were born again but are living a life of powerlessness due to their ignorance of "The Living Word." They trust in their "pastor" to teach them rather than God's own Holy Spirit who is the only One assigned to lead them and guide the into all Truth. This is the true problem and I do pray that the church body is shaken out of its complacency and begins to truly hunger and thirst for righteousness. God will meet each person there in that place of hunger and will satisfy them with an invitation to "Come Up Here"... and begin a genuine relationship with Him through Christ. Ask for the Holy Spirit's presence in your life. Ask the Father to grant you grace to walk out your new life in Christ. Ask for a hunger for His Word... then act on it. Invite God into everything you do. Ask Him for direction everywhere you go, ask the Holy Spirit to teach you who you are in Christ and begin your journey through the Word of God. Talk to him as you would a friend, a lover, a husband. Share your heart with Him and don't be afraid to be honest. He wants all of you: the good, the bad, the ugly, the indifferent. He wants your joy, your pain, your darkness, your fear. He can handle your anger, your doubt, your jealousy, your hate. He cares for your loneliness, your being misunderstood, your needs, your life. He wants to be your "All-In-All." He spared no expense to have you as His child and bankrupted heaven on your behalf. Then He blessed you with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms and seated with Christ in heavenly places. All of this He did just to have a Father/ son, one-on-one "relationship" with you. How it must grieve Him to have gone through all that trouble only for the objects of His affection to settle for cold and naive "religious practices" that can't possibly teach them how to walk out their new identity in Power. I pray for the Body of Christ to finally move in the same direction as the Head. Then we can move about the earth as One Man (Christ) and establish on earth what He has established in heaven!

Amen, I've also taken it to mean a form of "confirmation, support" in other words agreement.
However, "So be it" is also agreeable.
